Welcome to the José Maria Amador Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR). We are located in the Tri-Valley area, which includes the cities of Pleasanton, Dublin, and San Ramon. We welcome your interest in learning more about our chapter and hope to hear from you.
Our chapter meets monthly from January through May and September through December, with a short business meeting and a program. We are a varied group of career women, full-time mothers, and retirees who have American Revolutionary War Patriot ancestors. We support the NSDAR objectives of historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavor with our programs and activities.
José Maria Amador
Our chapter name comes from the man who had a city, county, and valley named after him. José Maria Amador was born in California and was a soldier like his father. He oversaw Mission San José and was given 16,500 acres by the Mexican government. He named his grant Rancho San Ramon; this property is now the site of the present-day cities of Dublin and San Ramon.
Please take time to navigate around our chapter site. If you are interested in knowing more about what we do, please contact our chapter regent or registrar.
