About Us

Our members are a diverse group who are all direct descendants of American Revolutionary War Patriots, and are bound together with pride in our heritage and love for our country. We are a group of ladies of all ages, with diverse backgrounds, talents, and professional experience in many fields - each of whom is respected and valued as a member.

José Maria Amador Chapter, NSDAR, meetings are held the second Saturday of the month, January through May and September through December, at 10 a.m. For information on where we meet, please contact our chapter regent.

Each regular meeting includes the DAR Ritual, President General's Message, a three-minute National Defense Report, program, and business meeting. Guests are always welcome!

Our other activities include promoting patriotism, good citizenship, American history studies in schools, literacy, historic preservation, conservation, and women's issues.

We are inspired by the deeds and dreams of our ancestors and value the contribution that each of our members makes. There is something for everyone to do. We all share a great heritage. Coming together is beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is a success!
