Service In Action:
As a volunteer service organization, our chapter is honored to serve the Tri-Valley through a variety of projects and events that make a positive impact. The below sample of recent projects reflects our ongoing commitment to historic preservation, education, and patriotic service.

American History:
- Administers American History essay contests for grades 5-8. Our chapter was privileged to nominate the California State Society (CSSDAR) and CSSDAR District IV winner in 2025.
- Organizes and hosts America 250! projects and events such as: Earth Day Clean Up of Jose Maria Amador Historical Marker, historical marker dedication ceremonies.
- Administers DAR Good Citizens Essay contest for high school seniors.
Education:
- Supports Local literacy programs through schools and Little Libraries.
- Provides DAR educational resources for educators.
- Scholarships
- Promotes literacy through reading or tutoring children.
Honoring Veterans:
- Supports active-duty and retired military through gift bags and care cards.
- Attends Honor Flight ceremonies for honor veterans
- Participates in Wreaths Across America and the local Memorial Day Veteran Remembrance Ceremony.
- Places U.S. flags beside gravestones to honor veterans at Dublin's Pioneer Cemetery.
- Presents awards to outstanding Sea Cadets.
Historic Preservation:
- Distributes pocket constitutions for seniors at local high schools as part of American Government studies.
- Celebrates Constitution Week in schools and local libraries.
- Participates in a variety of parades such as 4th of July, Veteran's Day, etc.
- Hosts programs on American history and historical events, culture and arts for members and guests.
